A compassionate, inclusive, intergenerational community of United Methodists in Grand Rapids, Michigan are looking for an energetic, driven, passionate, and creative leader to support, implement, and expand the worship program of this growing church. Northlawn has historically had a more traditional worship style with classic worship elements. In recent years, worship at Northlawn is more blended, using some contemporary music and newer elements to create services that feel comfortable for older generations and approachable for newer generations This is a 10 hours paid per week position, including Sunday worship, Thursday evening rehearsal, planning, and two monthly weeknight team meetings. The Worship Ministries Director will be responsible for leading and overseeing worship at Northlawn United Methodist Church (UMC), designing and implementing the weekly worship services in conjunction with the Pastor, as well as developing and leading the music and tech teams. This position is part-time and requires 10 hours per week (at $18/hr), including Sundays and Thursday evenings for rehearsals.
